Also known as inclines, the funiculars are the more appropriate name and identifiable to most of the rest of the world. Under PRT?‘s plan, there are 2 funiculars. Under my plan, I will add another one for the Troy Hill neighborhood. The funiculars are given a single digit as the route designation, and there will be no letter since these are strictly connector routes. Those with a fare card will be able to ride the funicular for free. Under PRT, there are 2 funicular inclines. Under ACT, there will be 3. The funicular inclines are as follows:
- 3: Troy Hill Incline
- 5: Mt Washington Incline
- 7: Duquesne Heights Incline
