Fares

This section will fall into the fares that riders will have to pay for in order to ride the bus. There are a couple exception. All riders will be able to ride the colored routes for free. At this time, there are only 2 routes, and obviously, these routes are intended to get around in Downtown. For those that have a fare card, they will be able to ride any funicular incline for free. It would be just a matter of tapping the card, and no funds will withdraw. This is intended to reduce the demand on the buses that serves the community. Fares are based on the type of route.

There are 2 variations. For connector routes, the fare is $2.00. This is 75ยข less than a regular route. Connectors are intended to connect the community with the bus lines that serves them. These routes will be identified as a double digit number with no letter in the designation. There aren’t many connectors, but when there are – they usually serve an important role for the community. Any other route than the ones already mentioned will be $2.75 for the fare. This applies whether you have a fare card, or not. The difference to encourage using a fare card is that a fare card will include a 3 hour pass when you have funds deducted from the pool.
